Crofton burglary - please review your security.

A burglary attempt occurred on the evening of Saturday 14 February at Fernlea Close, Crofton. Offenders tried to force entry by bending the rear patio door handle and attempting to snap the lock but were unsuccessful.

Home Security Advice

Check the standard of any lock or euro‑profile cylinder fitted to your doors. Consider upgrading to TS 007 (3‑star) and/or Sold Secure Diamond Standard (SS312) cylinders.

Anti‑snap or Snap‑Safe cylinders offer the highest protection under TS 007 testing.

Cylinder locks can be replaced by homeowners, but they must be correctly measured and should not protrude from the door or handle once installed.

Enhanced security door handles with a TS 007 2‑star rating are also recommended.
